TNSR or Tuesday Night Social RIde is an alternative social ride that consistently meets at the Bea Everson Fountain on Tuesday nights at 6:00 pm from November through the end of March. Last night was the last TNSR of the "season" next Tuseday is TNR at the Velodrome and that happens every Tuesday in April through the end of October.

TNSR doesn’t focus on bars and alcohol, although both are often present. Instead it is more family friendly. I really like that TNSR helps promote The San Diego Bike Commuter discount program (Established by Sigurd K of Soledad) This ride has lot of history and a long future.

This group rides with class. They stop at red lights, call out obstacles, and they do not ride slow. I had fun helping lead the pack. I found myself hollering out directions in the front and helping control the group. We started at the Balboa Parks fountain and went upto Hillcrest. Left on University, left on Goldfinch and down Reynard way. We regrouped at Laurel street and then continued for a little more and we went right on Hawthorn to Harbor. A left on Harbor then it is a straight shot from Downtown to National City. On Civic Center we went left into National City and all sat down for dinner at Tacos El Gordo and I must say it was the doggity bomb dot com. It felt like a real TJ taco spot. After that we went to a liquor store across the street named "HI-BEV" for refreshments to bring to Hub and Spoke for consumption. From there we rolled back towards the bay till we hit Tidelands ave where the shop is located.

There is a thread on SDBikecommuter dedicated to this ride where updates are published. The last post was by PacMule, current organizer/leader/overall rad dude. He is a staple in the community. He said,
"The rides will continue on an irregular basis during the race season... so every month or so. And then around the end of September or October they will start up again as a weekly ride. HUGE thanks to everyone who has participated this year! It was truly an honer to keep this going! GO HANS! TUESDAY, WE RIDE!"

This wraps up another season of TNSR see you at TNR
Now that wraps up a solid season of TNSR. Get ready for fun fast velodrome season, I might even race. See you at TNR!
This is the ride description from the Facebook Event page
Wowweeee! I can’t believe it’s that time already. This will be the last “official weekly” TNSR for the season, and we’re gonna do this one up proper! This week we will celebrate the way only bike folks know how… Ride our asses off to an awesome bike shop, eat massive burritos and enjoy a few beers with the best fucking people in town! Tuesday we ride to Hub + Spoke Cycleworks for an end of the season party!!!

This will be a BYOB/BYOF event. Meaning: Hub and Spoke will provide the destination, we will bring the beer and burritos. So, MAKE SURE YOU BRING A BAG! Weather it’s attached to your bike or slung on your back doesn’t matter, just as long as you can carry something. We will make stops to gather supplies along the way to the shop and share the load within the group, so don’t worry about carrying a ton of stuff the whole way, just a mile or so. Teamwork makes it happen :)

Same as always, we will meep up at Bea Evenson Fountain in Balboa Park at 6pm and we ride out at 6:30pm. We ride at a medium pace, and with regular group-ups no one is ever left behind. Bring your lights, legs, and maybe sumthin special for our amazing hosts. I absolutely cannot wait, this is going to be SO much fun! More details will be posted throughout the week. Please invite and share!

    Who is bojac?

My whole life revolves around the two wheeled human power multiplier that is the bicycle. My name is Jacob Abrantes, better known as Bojac (an anagram for Jacob) I am 27 years old and I ride bicycles in San Diego, California. I have been commuting, no joke, since I was 4 years old. Now as an adult, bicycles are my life. I try to ride as much as I can, my favorite place to train is Mount Soledad in La Jolla. I try to foster cycling in everyone that I meet, almost everyday I make another rider out of an ordinary person. Cycling is my therapy; my bike is my therapist. Bikes saved my life and gave me a purpose. Bicycles can save the world. blah blah blah lets ride!
