Oh yeah one of my favorite thing was how everyone says "smackdown" thought the ride.
I finally made it out on a #mondaynightsmackdown ride. This ride is not for the faint of heart, its fast as fuck! This ride has been going on for months and my schedule never meshed perfectly with it. Meeting every Monday at Adams Ave Bicycles the ride leaves around 7:15pm. Several familiar faces from the velodrome were in attendance. Kenyon Ralph, Tony Julian, and Andrew Lee to name a few of the TNR aces that were there. The ride is has great leader ship from Shawn McNally and the dedicated sweeper, Gianpanna "Pana" Ferraro. On occasion there is a smaller group that will leave earlier so this ride is as fast as you make it. All in all its good fellowship on two wheels with a group of some strong legs. Listen to any pointers these guys give they know what they're talking about. #Mondaynightsmackdown was a humbling experience. I expected to KOM the group climbs since all I do is climb but I kept getting third. These guys put the hammer down, I can't wait to ride with them again. An easy way to get faster is to ride with fast people. If you are going to do this ride make sure your bike is dialed. Bring atleast one extra tube, a snack to eat at the summit picture regroup, and lots of water. I recommend looking at the route beforehand, show up early, and introduce yourself when you get to the bike shop. Oh yeah one of my favorite thing was how everyone says "smackdown" thought the ride.

Who is bojac? My whole life revolves around the two wheeled human power multiplier that is the bicycle. My name is Jacob Abrantes, better known as Bojac (an anagram for Jacob) I am 27 years old and I ride bicycles in San Diego, California. I have been commuting, no joke, since I was 4 years old. Now as an adult, bicycles are my life. I try to ride as much as I can, my favorite place to train is Mount Soledad in La Jolla. I try to foster cycling in everyone that I meet, almost everyday I make another rider out of an ordinary person. Cycling is my therapy; my bike is my therapist. Bikes saved my life and gave me a purpose. Bicycles can save the world. blah blah blah lets ride! Archives
