Kashimax is a Japanese company that is well known for making rad saddles. I have their Aero Saddle. I love it for that same reasons that I love this top tube protector. It is just plain classy. If you don't have one, get one.
You know someone is dialed when you see this. The mark of a truly tasteful cyclist. This device protects your frame from getting dinged by the handlebars when they turn too far. This happens when your bike is hanging on the racks at the velodrome, or when your walking your bike, or lean it on something, and in the event you have and an uncontrolled flying bicycle (aka you are about to eat shit) at least you know your handlebar won't be damaging your frame. My first fixie was a Bianchi Pista, I quickly noticed that when the handlebars turned too far that they contacted the frame. I remember all the time picking my bike up and hearing the handlebar make a righteous resonating ding as the headset bearing swung around assisted by gravity. Eventually I got some scraps of bar wrap and protected my bike. I never liked the look, or that I had to retape the ends occasionally. Gosh it would have been awesome to have discovered this device back then. Installing the Five Gold top tube protector is way easier than wraping bartape scraps too. simply spread it apart and place it on the spot you need protected. If you don't have one, get one. The frame protector looks so good that it stays on the bike even after you swap the cockpit to jam around town. Italian, Japanese, American, this frame protector looks so good on any bike, if your trying to go NJS and don't have one yet stop what your doing and BUY YOURS HERE NOW!

Who is bojac? My whole life revolves around the two wheeled human power multiplier that is the bicycle. My name is Jacob Abrantes, better known as Bojac (an anagram for Jacob) I am 27 years old and I ride bicycles in San Diego, California. I have been commuting, no joke, since I was 4 years old. Now as an adult, bicycles are my life. I try to ride as much as I can, my favorite place to train is Mount Soledad in La Jolla. I try to foster cycling in everyone that I meet, almost everyday I make another rider out of an ordinary person. Cycling is my therapy; my bike is my therapist. Bikes saved my life and gave me a purpose. Bicycles can save the world. blah blah blah lets ride! Archives
